This is such an aromatic and flavorful Soup. It’s Hot and Sour with just the slightest bit of sweetness. It’s easy to make with the kit with a yummy addition of Rice Noodles
|Tom Yam Noodles kit||1 pack|
|Shallots (minced||2 pieces|
|Lemongrass (sliced)||1 stem|
|Lime juice||1 tbsp|
Prepare the stock
Boil 500ml of water in a big saucepan. Add 1 chicken stock cube when the water is boiling. Then stir until the cube has dissolved in the boiled water. Add 1 stem lemongrass (sliced) and 2 small shallots (minced).
Add Tom Yam paste
Stir in the Tom Yam paste into the boiling water until it has completely dissolved.
Add beef and mushrooms
Add 250g beef filet (sliced) or some tofu. Add 6 button mushrooms (quartered).
Add Rice Noodles
Add the rice noodles. Simmer for 5 minutes until cooked through.
Add Thai Seasonings
Stir in the 3 sachets of Thai seasonings (fish sauce, coconut sugar and spices). Add 1 tbsp. lime juice.
Garnish & serve
Serve your Tom Yam Soup in soup bowls and garnish with a handful of fresh basil.
